We are a small and fresh indie label located in Geneva/Switzerland.
After many years listening to the music we love or simply going to gigs, we decided it was time to give something back to all these cool bands you can meet on the road and that, for some mysterious reasons, do not yet have all the success their music deserves.
So this is who we are, a strange musical creature growing slowly but surely. We have got ideas, so should you have the music, bring it on!!
As of today, we released two records (Peters latest EP “Be your own dog” and Summer Went Too Soon first LP “Artists don’t fuck like civilians”). Our latest project, The Swiss Factory, could be described as follows:
There have been numerous compilations in the past involving Swiss bands, but it has always been with recordings already done and, very often, limited to bands of a certain region. We decided it was time to make something different.
The purpose of our recording was to have a few brilliant bands from all over the country meeting in a studio and see what raw energy could be generated. As a consequence, La Belle Chic decided to lock together 6 Swiss bands during two days in a studio for a live recording, to put it all on film and to keep on with that spirit by organising gigs with the bands, listed below, that participated:
The Bianca Story (Basel)
Summer Went Too Soon (Geneva)
Peter Kernel (Lugano)
The Proteins (Geneva)
Peters (Geneva)
Marygold (Lucerne)
Please check these bands on our top friends www.myspace.com/labellechic
Part of this compilation will first be available as a free MP3 download on our website for a limited period of time and then the whole thing will be issued as a digipack, which will include the teaser as well as pictures of the recording.
This experience was so intense and its result so good, that we plan to do it again in the future.
